Author/publisher Neale Sourna's project to research, survey, and analyze the nature of stardom and fandom and their influences on perception; of the personal self and the public star.

There is nothing planned about girlfriends, or being allegedly engaged to Ms. Forlani or Ms. Keaton, or alleged stresses within Ms. Bullock's marriage because of their friendship, or gossip about the late Ms. Syme or Mr. Phoenix; please go to the wonderful IMDB, invaluable Club-Keanu.com, or another fansite or online group for that.

This is public research, analysis, and opinion framed within a point of view I haven't found yet elsewhere, meaning I would like to entice those of you that are interested to answer future surveys about their experience as a fan or consumer of this actor's/producer's products.

This site won't be totally pretty and will be about commentary, pov, and research, there are already millions of pix and love messages waxing on and on about Mr. Reeves.

BACKSTORY.

A few years back I started some personal research on this artist as a writer's character reference for two brothers [using Mr. Reeves KCR and Mr. Russell Wong RGW] in a novel. This is an old technique I was never fond of until I started to realize that I can't write all my characters as my dream guy. Using real actors or friends gives me looks, movement, voice, and attitudes I'd might never come up with on my own.

MY PET PEEVE ADDED SOME FIRE.

I, technically, am a fan; an educated fan, with all these observations in my head, but I want to see where heads and hearts of others are on the matter, whether others have noticed the things I've noticed about fandom, arts reporting, and artistic bigotry. And the some unreported comings and goings of the almighty dollar, pesos, yen, etcetera in the wake of your favorite or not so favorite hero.

WHAT THIS IS?

This is a universal survey(s), anyone can add to it, in English, but know that this system will record [for my knowledge only] your computer's IP address as well as the more obvious things asked. This is to keep a few notes on possible repeat listings that may skew the tabulations--you KCR fans know how you love to vote for your fave guy in contests. This isn't a contest, it's a way to share information not normally asked that I believe should be asked. Share freely, but if you become a nuisance I will lock you out of the survey and null and void any and all of your contributions. So, if your opinions and interest in KCR and his works are genuine, be as genuine and generous as he.

WHY THESE SURVEYS?

I'm curious. I think there is a great deal of info hidden between the fan sites, the message boards, and the biased arts and film reports. Some questions have not been asked and I will. It is possible I may add questions, so return periodically to see if there is anything new you can add to the new section or to a section you previously skipped. Again, be as genuine, concise, and accurate as possible--I will be quoting from YOU and reporting from the results all of YOU provide me, besides giving my own opinions and experiences.

WHY SPECIFICALLY THE PROJECT KEANU SURVEYS?

I hope to be able to gather and print some interesting stats for me and for you. And no, I don't do statistics as a profession, but I will endeavor to be as accurate with your information as possible. The plan is to cull the some of the more interesting and the best and print it to my website for those interested and to ultimately compile enough for a formal book on the matter, along with my own observations and analyses.

WHY DO THIS?

Because there are depths of fandom and performance not yet explored and printed. At least I don't think so, at least nothing I've seen so far and nothing which definitely has my take on its interpretation, which always proves interesting and different.

OTHER STUFF.

Private names and email addresses are only for my records and organization, and possible need to clarify, they are not for common publication. You can make up a public name, and if you make more than one visit to enter information, please, keep notes and use the same public name and email. Please? It'll make the stats more precise and more educational.
